From 2015 to 2023, he served as the President & CEO of Sumisho Realty Management, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, and expanded its AUM to over ¥700 billion. He diversified the firm's investments in structures such as SOSiLA Logistic REIT(publicly-traded) and SC Realty Private REIT(privately-placed) alongside a broad spectrum of separate accounts.
Earlier, at Sumitomo Corporation, he held pivotal roles and managed a comprehensive real estate portfolio in both Japan and the US, encompassing residential, commercial, and logistics sectors.
He has also served as a Non-Executive Director of Longevity Partners.
Recently, he has taken on a new challenge as an executive director at REVOLUTION Co., Ltd., where he oversees real estate investments.
He graduated from Kyoto University in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Also, he is a licensed architect in Japan, an esteemed ARES Certified Master, and a distinguished Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

2015年からインド進出を開始し、インドにおける住宅開発プロジェクトを主な投資対象とするファンド『玄海インドインベストメント』を2019年に組成。当ファンドは本年9月より、ムンバイの分譲マンション開発(住宅の総床面積:約17,500m2)に投資を開始している。玄海キャピタル設立前は、2004年から株式会社福岡リアルティにて代表取締役社長を務め、福岡リート投資法人を組成し上場を果たす。1999年から2004年にはリーマンブラザーズにおいて同社の自己勘定不良債権及び不動産投資のリーシングを統括。それ以前は12年間三井不動産に在籍し、米国における約10億USDのポートフォリオ収益不動産のファイナンスの経験もある。

As founder/CEO of Genkai Capital Management (GCM), a real estate investment management firm with AUM of 40B yen, Matsuo established a Japanese fund focused on development projects in India. The fund has just started investing in a multi-family project with 189K sqf. Prior to founding GCM in 2006, he originated and completed the IPO of Fukuoka REIT Corporation (J- REIT), as president of Fukuoka Realty Co., Ltd. He also has 5-year experience in the Global Real Estate Group of Lehman Brothers in Japan, and 12-year experience at Mitsui Fudosan, during which he managed about 100B yen in assets in US.

Akemi is a partner in the financial services group of PwC Japan Tax, where she leads Banking Capital Market and Asset Management Sector. She specializes in tax consulting for real estate companies and financial institutions and development of various financial products and investment funds including JREITs. Akemi acts as PwC Tax Japan Knowledge Center leader (Tax Policy Section) and is responsible for monitoring tax policy developments. Akemi is a member of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Japanese Licensed Tax Accountant Association. She graduated in laws from Kyoto University.

Mr. Yamada has 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry in Japan and the United States combined. Mr. Yamada was Executive Advisor to Global Service Dept. at Mitsui Fudosan Realty Co., Ltd. for 12 years, and helped the company develop working relationships with offshore developers, investors, and intermediaries. Until February 2011, Mr. Yamada served as Director and Senior Executive Officer for Secured Capital Japan Co., Ltd. (currently PAG Investment Management), a leading real estate investment management firm in Japan with $8 billion of AUM, and was responsible for overseeing its Deal Sourcing Department during his 8 years of service. From April 2000 till May 2003, Mr. Yamada was General Manager at GE Edison Life Co. (currently Gibraltar Life Insurance), responsible for overseeing the insurer’s real estate portfolio and originating new potential investments. Prior to joining GE Edison, Mr. Yamada worked for a New York real estate investment banker called Sonnenblick-Goldman Company (now a part of Cushman & Wakefield) as Senior Vice President in its Los Angeles office, and obtained exclusive mandates to dispose large commercial properties in the US from Japanese asset owners. Prior to joining GE Edison, Mr. Yamada spent 11 years with Mitsui Real Estate Sales U.S.A Co. Ltd. in Los Angeles where he was charged with deal origination, acquisition, JV development, disposition and asset management of various types of investment properties such as office, industrial, retail, and residential.

Appointed as Director in 2016 and re-designated as Executive Director in February 2019, Mr. Stuart Gibson has been the co-CEO of our Group since January 2016 and was also a co-founder and CEO of the Redwood group. Mr. Gibson is responsible for overseeing ESR’s overall operations and business development. He has over 24 years of real estate development and investment experience in Asia, which includes 15 years in the Japanese industrial real estate sector. Mr. Gibson was formerly the country head of Prologis Japan, and former co-founder and co-CEO of AMB BlackPine, which was subsequently incorporated into Prologis. He was also the Chairman of AMB Property Corporation Japan Advisory Committee.

Member of the portfolio management team for J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Real Estate Asia-Pacific. Based in Tokyo, Irene focuses on Japan real estate investments across various strategies. Irene was previously a Global Real Estate Securities portfolio manager in the International Equity Group investing in listed developers and REITs, particularly within APAC, and also covered the Japan and Developed Asia-Pacific Real Estate sectors as a buy-side equity research analyst. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2005, she worked in the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities. Irene holds a BSc in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance also from the London School of Economics. Mr Ryuta Takeuchi is responsible for JLL’s Capital Markets platform across Japan and works with the firm’s extended global Capital Markets team to facilitate inbound investment opportunities into Japan’s commercial real estate market and advise domestic capital owners on outbound investment. He joins JLL from Mitsubishi Corporation where he was President and CEO of Diamond Reality Management Incorporated, its global real estate investment arm. For Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr Takeuchi oversaw assets under management of over US$8 billion through private real estate investment trusts (REITs) and private funds in Japan and other global markets in this position from 2021 to 2023. Mr Takeuchi joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1996 and held a variety of leadership positions including Head of Executive Management and Strategy Planning Office in its Urban Development Group, Managing Director and CEO of MC Asset Management in Europe. He was also Co-CEO of UBS-Mitsubishi Corporation General Partner – UBS- PREMF Limited, a joint venture private funds business with UBS.

Mr Kosei Hatakeyama is the Chief Executive Officer and Representative Director of MC Digital Realty (MCDR) since April 2023, overseeing all management matters. Prior to joining MCDR, Mr Hatekayama served as the Head of Strategy Planning, Urban Development Division, and General Manager of Real Estate Business Department at Mitsubishi Corporation. He successfully rebalanced and optimized global real estate investment portfolios valued at $4 billion, while assuming the role of a board director for both US and Japan-based subsidiaries. From 2019 to 2022, Mr Hatekayama played a key role in corporate planning at Mitsubishi Corporation's Tokyo headquarters. Reporting directly to the company's president, he contributed to managing company-wide investment portfolios worth a $100 billion. Prior to that, as the President of MC Aviation Partners Americas in Irvine, CA, from 2015 to 2019, Mr Hatekayama provided executive leadership and oversaw all company-related matters.

Naoki Suzuki is President and CEO of KJR Management, a 100% KKR subsidiary and one of the largest managers of listed Japanese REITs. Naoki joined Mitsubishi Corp.-UBS Realty Inc. (currently KJR Management) in January 2012 as Head of Research, and later served as Deputy President of the subsidiary, MCUBS MidCity, as well as Deputy President of Mitsubishi Corp.-UBS Realty Inc. before taking the current position in April 2022. Prior to that, Naoki worked as an equity and real estate security analyst and fund manager at Lupus alpha Asia, Schroders, UBS Asset Management and LTCB and F&C Investment Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has obtained his Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo.
