“The real estate industry has high impact on the planet and its people as well as the global economy. With the building and construction sector accounting for some 40% of global energy-related carbon emissions, the real estate industry plays a pivotal role in transitioning towards a low-carbon and sustainable future for all. I am glad to be part of APREA’s efforts to promote the adoption of sustainability amongst real estate investors and businesses and to work together to overcome the challenges caused by global climate and health crises,” said Esther.

“I am honored to be appointed to the board of the Singapore Chapter for the new term. I have enjoyed working together with the APREA team, led by Sigrid Zialcita, and the exchange of ideas with fellow board members who are experts in their respective fields in real estate in the previous term. I look forward to serving and contributing in the next 3 years to further APREA’s vision,” said Milton.

“Real estate will continue to be an attractive and evolving asset class for investment. Together with APREA, we will continue to promote our members' interest in understanding the future of real estate, the key trends and related opportunities in Asia Pacific.” said Chee Keong.

“The COVID pandemic, as well as slowing economies worldwide, is cause for consolidation and reflection.  APREA can play an important role by working hand in hand with the government through acting as an intermediary to balance the interest of our Members and engaging the government in policy discussions, conducting industry research and initiating corporate citizen programs.” said Norman.

“APREA works closely with various governments, institutional investors and professionals to deepen and improve the rules for doing business in existing and emerging markets, which translates into greater real estate investment opportunities. On many different fronts, it seeks to promote real estate as a preferred asset class and represents its relentless commitment to the Asia Pacific’s real estate industry with an emphasis on advocacy, investment, continuous improvement, innovation, and high-quality member service.
