APREA India Conference 2025: Expanding Horizons | Seeing Beyond

Sigrid is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA). Based in Singapore, she is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, initiatives and operations of the association across Asia Pacific. Under her leadership, APREA repositioned to an industry trade group focusing on real estate and infrastructure.

Sigrid joined APREA’s executive team in January 2019.

Prior to APREA, she served as Managing Director of Asia Pacific Research and Advisory Services of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) from 2010 through 2018, where she was responsible for research, thought leadership, strategy formulation and client management.  Before relocating to Singapore, she was based in Washington, D.C. and led C&W’s U.S. research group in the Mid-Atlantic region, overseeing all aspects of market research activities in the Washington, DC; Virginia; Suburban Maryland, Baltimore; and Philadelphia areas. Prior to joining C&W, Sigrid served as a Senior Economist for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In that position, she developed NAR’s office, warehouse, retail, multi-family housing, and international research programs.

A recognized expert in global economic, public policy and real estate issues, Sigrid is a frequent speaker at industry events.  Her commentary on commercial and residential real estate markets is also regularly featured in a wide array of global publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, New York Times and Reuters. Additionally, she has made several television appearances on financial networks and radio such as CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, National Public Radio and Channel News Asia.

Sigrid holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master’s degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of several civic groups including the Rotary Club of Raffles City in Singapore, where she has served in various leadership positions, and serves in the Executive Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Society of Singapore.

Neel, an alumnus of Harvard Business School and a Masters' in Finance and Economics with a Degree in Law has about 26 years of rich business experience.

Neel heads the core real estate business and is now instrumental in setting up I.T. office parks and residential townships. He is on the Board of Chalet Hotels, hospitality division of the group, which manages seven 5‐star properties across India. He has successfully set up the brand 'Inorbit Malls' at pan India basis and Inorbit is now among the top 3 mall companies in the country.

Neel is also on the Board of 'Shoppers Stop', the country's prestigious department store chain.

He was selected as the Top 40 under 40 by Economic Times.

He chairs some of the important committees that shape key industry developments, like:

• APREA, Chairman, India Chapter.
• NAREDCO‐President, West.
• Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chairman ‐ National Committee on Real Estate and Housing.
• Advisory Board Member, SCAI (Shopping Centres Association of India)

He has been appointed by the Government of India to study and suggest changes to the Special Economic Zone policy.

He was invited by the Honourable Prime Minister of India as a member of 'Champions of Change'.

Prateek joined Brookfield in 2019, and is a Senior Vice President in the Infrastructure group, heading the legal function for India and Middle East. Prior to Brookfield, Prateek spent 1 year at Tata Sons Limited where he worked on transactions across the Tata Group including on internal restructurings, acquisitions, and divestment transactions.

Before moving in-house, Prateek was with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in their mergers and acquisition practice for over 6 years, where he worked on transactions in the telecom, power, real estate, insurance sectors among others. He holds an B.A. LL. B (Hons.) from WB National University of Juridical Sciences.

Pratichi Mishra is a Partner at S&R Associates and is based in the firm’s Mumbai office. Her practice areas include capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and general advisory matters, with a focus on InvITs, REITs and funds.

Pratichi is a member of the Hybrid Securities Advisory Committee, a permanent committee set up by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). She is also a member of the Expert Committee on REITs and InvITs in GIFT International Financial Services Centre.

Pratichi has been identified as one of India’s Future Legal Leaders 2023 by India Business Law Journal; as a notable practitioner by IFLR1000; as a recommended lawyer by Legal 500 Asia Pacific; and as a gennext leading lawyer by Legal Era.

Ajit boasts 30 years of experience across diverse sectors, including Real Estate, Hospitality, Green Energy, and Infrastructure. His expertise lies in strategy, transactions, and tax services. Ajit was recognized as a leading M&A advisor in India by “Who’s Who Legal - M&A 2016” and “Who’s Who Legal - M&A 2015”.

His core competencies include navigating investment regulatory issues, negotiation tactics, and advising on economic policy, business modelling and business tax matters. Ajit collaborates effectively with regulatory agencies, such as government bodies, central banks, and income tax authorities. He specializes in cross-border trade and tax treaties, providing guidance to both Indian and international clients. His portfolio includes work for public and private sector clients. Lastly, his forward-thinking approach and holistic advisory make him a valuable asset in the business landscape!

With a prolific career spanning over 35 years, Mr. Sriram Khattar has executed leadership responsibilities in both - group corporate level as well as business head positions. Currently, as the Managing Director of the Rental Business of DLF Group, he manages and is responsible for the rental portfolio for the largest real estate developer in India. Mr. Khattar provides strategic direction and leadership to the overall rental portfolio of about 35 million sq. ft. office space and 4 million sq. ft. retail space across the country. He has been instrumental in creating an integrated business model, bringing together a motivated team committed to creating global benchmarks in safety, sustainability, ESG and customer centricity across the Offices and Retail Rental portfolio of DLF Group. Mr. Khattar has held numerous senior leadership roles with reputed organizations like ITC (India and Singapore), Escorts and Ferguson Consulting. Mr. Khattar is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a batch topper from the Hindu College, Delhi University.

Janhavi Seksaria has over 12 years’ experience in advising on capital markets transactions. She has advised on almost the entire spectrum of capital markets transactions, including IPOs, QIPs, rights offerings, overseas listings (including through business trust route), buybacks, yieldcos and block and bulk trades on the stock exchanges. She has also extensively advised on establishing, listing and structuring business trusts, infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs).

She has been, and continues to be, an active participant in initiatives related to the consultation process on various aspects of InvITs and REITs and collaborated with few stakeholders in making representations to various governmental and regulatory authorities, including the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Finance, Central Board of Direct Taxes, the Reserve Bank of India and SEBI.

Abhilash is an Executive Director at IndoSpace and heads the Asset Management function. IndoSpace is India’s largest investor, developer, and manager of industrial and logistics real estate with a total portfolio size of over 58 million square feet across 52 projects in 11 cities.

In his current role at IndoSpace, Abhilash oversees performance of three development funds and a Core vehicle with total investments of over USD 3Bn and is responsible for driving portfolio strategy, operations, property valuations, monitoring and optimizing asset performance. Abhilash has wide ranging experience of over 16 years in the real estate industry involving fund raising, investments, asset management, driving buy side and sell side due diligence and managing investor relations.

Prior to joining IndoSpace, Abhilash was associated with JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services and Citi Markets. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelors in Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

S. Sriniwasan (Srini) has been with the Kotak Group since 1993 and currently heads KIAL.

Srini established one of India’s first Real Estate funds in 2005 and steered the growth of the business to raise and invest USD1.8bn. Srini also oversees Kotak Private Equity, Kotak Infrastructure Funds, Kotak Special Situations Fund and Kotak Listed Strategies. Overall, KIAL has raised about USD4.06bn in funds across these asset classes.

Prior to KIAL, he was a part of Kotak’s investment banking joint venture with Goldman Sachs since inception in 1995. As co-head of Kotak Investment Banking till 2005, Srini advised leading domestic and international companies on capital raising, M&A and strategic divestitures.

Srini is a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) committee for policy initiatives on Foreign Direct Investment and REITs and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) subcommittee on Capital Markets. He also serves as Chairman for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), South Asia Valuation Professional Group Board. He is also Co-chairman of APREA India Chapter and a member of the Governing Council of Global Real Estate Institute (GRI) – India Chapter. He is a Member of the Executive Committee at the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA) and a Member of the Private Credit Council at EMPEA.

Mitchell McCallum is an Executive Director at MSCI Inc., where he’s held various roles across Asia Pacific. Based out of Sydney, he is currently serving as the Asia Pacific, Head of Private Assets for Client Coverage, Mitchell leads a team dedicated to delivering tailored solutions for institutional investors in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate and Infrastructure. His delivery of data insights, performance, and risk measurement drives strategic decision-making for clients.

With over 15 years of experience in real assets, Mitchell was formerly, Co-Head Real Assets, Asia Pacific and Head of Australia Real Estate at MSCI. Mitchell has worked with some of the largest Asset Owners and Managers in the world and has a passion to support innovation, growth, and transparency in Private Markets.
