The Playbooks @ Work series aims at equipping APREA’s members/participants with relevant knowledge and practical tools to drive sustainability efforts within and across their organizations. The series is designed around the already launched playbooks, namely:
- ESG Guidebook for Real Assets in Asia Pacific is meant to raise awareness about ESG and guide stakeholders.
- ESG Reporting for Real Assets in Asia Pacific aims at helping members to explore the benefits of ESG practices and reporting, and the intricacies of ESG reporting.
- APREA Decarbonisation Playbook
The Playbooks @ Work targets real estate professionals who are tasked to manage sustainability-related activities and initiatives.
The purpose of the series is to impart practical knowledge by designing engaging sessions for members taught by practitioners with hands-on experience on the relevant topics. The objectives are to build the necessary knowledge, tools and confidence for participants to take on more sustainability-related tasks for a member organization.
The objectives are Specific (e.g. how to develop a sustainability report for real estate), Measurable (e.g. understanding time and resources required), Achievable (e.g. preparing for publication in terms of relevant steps to plan for), Relevant and Time-bound (e.g. in terms of engaging relevant parties to meet reporting deadlines).
The Playbook @ Work will combine lecturing to impart relevant knowledge (e.g. sustainability reporting standard, GHG Protocol) and case studies discussions. The participants will be engaged via group work/assignments, polls/quizzes to test understanding and possible gaps. After each class, the course’s effectiveness will be evaluated based on feedback forms and follow-up discussion with APREA’s leadership team.
The Playbook @ Work will positively contribute to the participants' professional development by strengthening the understanding of how sustainability is embedded into day-to-day operations and strategies, for example by preparing the participants around common pitfalls, stakeholder engagement opportunities and disclosures requirements.
As part of continuous learning, besides creating an eventual platform/space for participants to remain connected and engaged with each other, the intention is to provide each participants with the access to our gamified e-learning platform, Stickerbook.
