Gordon Tang has served as our Hong Kong Chapter Lead, responsible for the Greater China affairs since he joined APREA in 2015. He oversees APREA Hong Kong Chapter’s activities, including events coordination, member retention, daily administration, and business development in Greater China. He commenced his career working for prestigious local English and Chinese newspapers with solid account management and business development experiences, especially on the real estate category. Mr Tang graduated with a B.Soc.Sc. in History from Hong Kong Baptist University and has completed a Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law with Commendation from The Manchester Metropolitan University of UK, jointly with The University of Hong Kong.

Bruce joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2020 as one of the initial members of its new Singapore office, its 2 nd in Asia
after the Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Bruce spent nearly 10 years at OMERS Infrastructure where he most recently led their investing efforts in Asia. Previously, he was based in New York where he focused on North and South America transport and energy related investments. While at OMERS, he served on Boards at Midland Cogeneration Ventures, Chicago Skyway, GNLQ Regas (Chile) and IndInfravit Tollroads (India). Prior to joining Blueground, Christos was the CEO - Asia Pacific & Middle East for IWG for six years. Christos spent the majority of his career at Adecco - joining the company in 2000 as a Commercial Manager before becoming the Country Manager for Greece. An active advocate for green building and sustainability for over two decades, Esther has been instrumental in establishing CDL’s leadership in sustainability. It is ranked top real estate company on the 2021 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World. It became the first real estate conglomerate in Southeast Asia to sign the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings in February 2021. Key ESG initiatives she has spearheaded include publishing the first sustainability report in Singapore in 2008; issuing the first green bond by a Singaporean company in 2017 and building an integrated sustainability reporting framework since 2015.
A forerunner in embracing the UN SDGs, Esther was conferred 2018 SDG Pioneer for Green Infrastructure and A Low Carbon Economy by the UN Global Compact. She is a signatory for the UNGC Caring for Climate network and an executive council member of the UN ESCAP Sustainable Business Network. She sits on the boards or advisory platforms of several organisations, including World Green Building Council, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), GRESB Asian Real Estate Benchmark Committee and UNEP FI Real Estate Work Group. She’s a vice-chair of World Green Building Council Corporate Advisory Borad; chairperson of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association’s Sustainability and ESG Committee; co-chair of the Urban Land Institute Singapore’s Sustainability Product Council and is the vice-chairperson of the Singapore Institute of Directors’ ESG Committee.
Recognising that youth engagement and female empowerment is crucial for sustainable development, she founded the Women4Green network in 2017 and the Youth4Climate initiative in 2018.
More recently at COP26, Esther was the only speaker from the Asian real estate sector at the Built Environment Leaders Panel. Eugene joined the Surbana Jurong Group on 1 January 2017 as Senior Director, Group CEO’s office, to spearhead and oversee the Group’s special projects and strategic initiatives, in particular, the Group’s Key Account Management Office, Digital Management Office, and Sustainability and Resilience Office. He is also a Director on the Boards of Threesixty Cost Management and Threesixty Contract Advisory and an Adjudicator in the Singapore Mediation Centre. In 2020, he took office as the Managing Director of Surbana Technologies, the Smart Cities arm of the SJ Group.
Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (1st Class Hons) from the University of Reading in 1999 and a BSc in Technology Management and Computing (1st Class Hons) from the University of Portsmouth in 2002. He also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Law and Arbitration from the joint NUS and Kings College London programme, an MSc in Sustainable Building Design from the University of Nottingham, and the Senior Management

Apart from his experience in Quantity Surveying, Eugene injects sustainability, value management and green approaches into his work to achieve project efficiency. He is passionate about resilience in cities and how digital and technology can be leveraged to help citizens in
these cities have better quality of lives. He is a Green Mark Accredited Professional and Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional and is knowledgeable in the field of sustainable buildings and infrastructure.
Eugene works on enhancing productivity in Design and Construction and research on Computational BIM, Visualisation and Imaging and other productivity enhancement topics for the Surbana Jurong Group. His effort has won him several awards, including the RICS Construction Professional of the Year (2019), the Advance Certificate in Learning Program from the Institute of Adult Learning as well as the qualification on the ISO 19650 for BIM and Collaboration. He and his team are continuously embellishing the SJ’s platform Common Data Environment platform called 24K , ever increasing its capabilities for City’s’ Services.
Passionate about teaching, Eugene is also a Lecturer at the Department of Building, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore for the Masters of Project Management and is an avid speaker on Construction and related topics. George Agethen is responsible for the investment and asset-management strategies outlined in the Ivanhoé Cambridge’s annual business and strategic plans. Mr. Agethen has extensive experience in our industry, and more specifically in the Asian real estate market. Before joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2015, he was Senior Executive Director and Head of Alternative Investments at Ping An Trust, a subsidiary of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd., a public company. In his past position, he was responsible for establishing a multi-asset real estate portfolio which invests globally. He served also as Executive Director for HREI (a joint venture between Harvest Funds Management and Grosvenor Group) and as Head of business development and capital-raising for Harvest Capital Partners, China’s leading real estate fund managers. He was previously Vice President, Private Capital Markets, Real Estate, for Macquarie Capital in Asia. He also spent several years in the real estate sector in Australia.
Mr. Agethen holds bachelor’s degrees in commerce and in law and a master’s degree in commerce, specializing in Finance, from University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Agethen is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is a Jury Member for the MIPIM Asia Awards. Over the course of his career, George has lived in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and China. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Mr John Lim is the Chairman of JL Family Office. He is also the Senior Advisor and Non-executive Director of ESR Cayman Limited and serves as a Non-executive Director of ARA Asset Management (Fortune) Limited, ARA Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, ARA Asset Management (Prosperity) Limited and Hui Xian Asset Management Limited.
Mr Lim is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Real Assets Association (APREA) and the Consultative Committee to the Department of Real Estate, National University of Singapore. He is also a Patron of the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS) and a Council Member of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Lim co-founded ARA Asset Management in 2002 and was its Group CEO for 18 years and Deputy Chairman from February 2021 to January 2022.
Mr Lim has over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry and has received many notable corporate awards. These include the PERE Global Awards 2020 and 2016 Industry Figure of the Year: Asia, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year Singapore 2012 and the Outstanding CEO of the Year 2011 at the Singapore Business Awards 2012. Mr Lim, along with the Board of Directors of ARA, was a recipient of the prestigious Best Managed Board (Gold) Award at the Singapore Corporate Awards 2012. In 2017, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President of Singapore in recognition of his contributions to the community.

Sanjeev has around 26 years of experience in the areas of real estate fund
management, corporate finance, strategy and financial control. Immediately prior
to joining Ascendas, he was working as President of Real Estate at ICICI Venture
Funds Mgmt. Co. Ltd., a leading private equity fund manager in India. In that role,
Sanjeev was responsible for investments and portfolio management of the Real
