On 2 December 2019, APREA successfully hosted a Singapore Study Tour on Real Estate & REITs for a group of delegates from China.
During the tour, our participants visited some of the landmark properties in Singapore, such as: Republic Plaza, CapitaGreen, Suntec City, SGX Center, and Paya Lebar Quarter and had an opportunity to meet with the local well-known Developers, REITs and Investors to exchange notes and discuss about the Singapore real estate & REITs market.
As part of the tour, APREA’s VIP dinner in Stellar at 1-Altitude restaurant provided a chance for APREA’s local members to interact with our honoured guests from China.
We were honoured to have APREA China Chapter Chairman, Lijian Chen, and Board Member, David Chen, led the delegation.
A special recognition goes to our Singapore Board Member, Esther An, Chief Sustainability Officer of City Developments Limited for giving a meaningful presentation on ESG & Sustainability, also to the CEO of Suntec REIT – Mr Chong Kee Hiong and the Finance Director of ARA US Hospitality Trust – Mr Hong liang Ling from ARA Asset Management for their presentations on the Asset Management and REITs. APREA Chairman John Lim also joined the meeting with the Chinese delegates and shared his insightful views on real estate investment trends. We would also like to thank Kevin Chee, CEO of CapitaLand Commercial Trust; Ronald Tan, Director of Capital Market of SGX; Regina Lim, Head of Capital Markets Research, Southeast Asia from JLL for their informative presentations on the Singapore real estate & REITs, as well as Tony Lombardo, the CEO Asia of Lendlease for the wonderful site visit to their newly operated project in Singapore - Paya Lebar Quarter.
We hope this tour is just the beginning of the great partnerships for our members!
